FINNISHED! / RokRokInc. Friends
I'm very exited and honoured to be the custom made earring maker for the lovely singer Meri Vahtera.
Her thing includes triangles and wearing one big earring with a hat. Just the other day I designed a new dispatch of earrings for her but here some of the ones that are already in use.
Listen to her new song here: Antaa Niiden Puhuu - Meri Vahtera.
With my friend Mari we collaborated some new items to the RokRokInc. Jewelry line.
First of all, check out the cool boho and shamanism inspired earrings and necklaces made out of reindeer horns that Mari brought with her from the northern Finland (from where we both are from). Mari did the cutting and sanding and I did the finishing. I truly feel we came up with a pretty good end result.
...And with the reindeer horn pieces from Finnish Lapland you OF COURSE get the magical powers of strength and wisdom with them. These ones are a must have, especially when we two "witches" charmed the jewelry with the best of luck as well. :D
Then in addition Mari came up with the awesome rockin' animal pattern finish for the recycled leather earrings. These ones are only for tough but lovely ladies like us. Definitely too cute for boring people!
Here some my January-February secondhand outfits. I hope you get some inspiration!...
My Friday feeling skirt fitted really nicely to the wall at the office. The belt is from second hand store UFF in Helsinki, the skirt is from Kattilahalli flea market and the boots I got from my cousine. I love the eighties vibe combined with a dash of rock.
Two hoochie mamas in furs on a vintage shopping tour in Kallio, Helsinki. Our second hand furs are from Germany. Of course it is debatable if one should wear fur... But then again: would it be better to let these old old jackets to rot somewhere and instead buy new jackets? I say not.
Once again I wear the bow belt that seems to be my favourite this month. This skirt as well I got from an old colleague of mine. The shirt is not secondhand but it already about 10 years old. ...A bit tight but still fits, haha. The jewellery are made out of old leather jackets that I bought from the Recycling Center here in Helsinki. Leather Swallow Necklace, Leather Bracelet and recycled nail polish painted leather star earrings.
Here my beautiful mittens that I bought from the outdoor Sunday flea market in Hakaniemi in July. Unfortunately I lost one of them the very next day. Sad. :(
This scarf has become my favourite this winter. I got it for one euro at the Kattilahallin Kirppis flea market in Helsinki.
...Always when I'm tired I accidentally wear grey. I guess the aim is to be unnoticeable and blend in the wall. The jacket and the belt I got for 1,5 euros in the summer from an outdoors flea market in the summer and the dress I found at the Kaivarin Kanuuna flea market last month. This outfit is soooo warm!
I'm trying to learn how to take selfies. It's hard. But I want to how you more of my second hand clothing. ...So anyway: this perfect jacket I found in London. I paid 15 Pounds for it which is quite a lot for me and I wouldn't usually pay that much but I have been looking something like this for some time and usually mens jackets are way too big for me, so I thought what the hell, I will take it!
Today I was sooo happy to "throw a workshop" for the Valtaajat group. We had music, snacks and a lot of creativity...as you can see.
I pumped into Meikku at the Sunday outdoor flea market
and recognized her first from the familiar earrings.
Sandra wears the RokRokInc. chic vintage style button earrings and
they fit her urban relaxed style with a hint of vintage perfectly!
"I have several button earrings from RokRokInc.
and I always get noticed with them."
And Sandra with her new heart. Sanda's
weekend style is casual and relaxed.
It was a great night at the night market yesterday. I was so happy to be really in there and people seemed to be very happy as well. In addition the blog münchens goldstücke surprised me by introducing me in their great blog that brings you shopping tips in Munich but far away from the shopping street in the city centre. Check it out: münchens goldstücke and RokRokInc. in it.
Julie&Julie got themselves also matching leather bracelets! And my friends "helping".
Marina from Ukraine fell in love with the RokRokInc.
"Grannies" pendant. It is a really cool contrast with
the grandmom glasses and a young chic girl.
Midnightbazar is another night flea market in Munich. It happens mostly in the Reithalle, Munchen or sometimes also in the Postpalast.
Midnightbazar is a nice night market: both places are big and the clientele consists a lot of hipsters and trendy people. They sell beer, refreshments, some drinks and snacks and have a DJ or singer songwriters playing music. An advantage is that they have a good lightning, so you can really see what you are buying.
Still somehow I prefer the competitor Nachtkonsum in the Tonhalle or Feierwerk specially as a seller and maybe also as a customer. Though as a seller, a big plus for Midnightbazar is that they mark the places for sellers beforehand so that you don't need to wait in line early to secure a spot.
My lovely customers in the Reithalle wearing RokRokInc. jewelries!
It really makes me happy when I see people wearing my stuff.
Midnightbazar night flea market at Postpalast has the same organizer as the flea market in Reithalle. So otherwise they are quite similar but the venue at the Postpalast is much cozier. They have quite often the Jukebox Munich performing there and they are always delightful! ...Cute boys singing pretty so that can't go wrong.
Fei's new RokRokInc. items: red leather bracelet and black cat brooch.
Totally perfect for her!
